My name is Pat Kilbane and I am the former UKAS Head of Laboratory for one of the United Kingdoms leading metrology equipment manufacturers . I am also a Chartered Quality Engineer , and a fully trained ISO 17025 auditor

Now semi-retired , I am offering my services for the formulation and writing of all procedural documentation , internal auditing of UKAS Calibration and Testing Laboratories , assistance with uncertainty budgets , plus consultancy and training services for roundness , surface finish , and angle metrology.

I bring with me over 40 years practical , commercial , and managerial experience in Inspection , Testing , Quality Assurance , Metrology and Calibration , and have the approval of UKAS themselves in this venture .

I offer a competitive rate (and negotiable) of £150 per day or £85 per part day , plus £0.40 per mile for the round trip from the Leicester LE2 area , and could undertake approximately 6 audits of individual elements of your quality system during a single full day visit . This would effectively complete your full annual audit plan within 3 or 4 visits . Pre-audit preparation , and post-audit reporting would be office based , and inclusive of the above pricing structure .
